The Top Things to Do in Patong (Phuket) Thailand

Thank God for technology. When a friend suggested going to Phuket, Thailand for our birthday I was ecstatic. After tickets were booked I immediately began to research the area using the methods I suggested in my previous post, #Travel: How To Use Social Media To Plan Your Next Trip

Through all those websites I was able to put together a loose itinerary for the group. I wanted to help as most of the people traveling are flight attendants and have a hectic schedule. If you are traveling from the U.S. travel time can be about 2 days each way so here is how you maximize your time in Patong/ Phuket:

Sample Itinerary for the day after you arrive

Day 1

7:30am-Get accustomed to the Island through a Landmark Tour, Duration 9 hrs

Day 2

Shopping and Beach Day in Patong

Shopping in Patong can be an adventure and there are a lot of shops, you can visit the beach and then shop. Sharpen your negotiation skills to get a good deal, and don’t look to eager to buy.

Also if interested you could try to fit in a short ziplining tour at 3pm. Best one to go to is the Hanunman Rainforest.

Ziplining at Hanunman Rainforest,

There are a ton of options on Bangla Walking Street in Patong from live music bands, hip hop clubs, karaoke bars and top 40 clubs. It reminded it of a Thai Vegas Strip.
