When I was younger I would write down my goals for school and life on a dry erase board and display it in my college dorm room. As I got older I strayed from that but I believe it is time to bring it back (electronically)! Most of my 2014/2015 was unplanned as in I didn't sit down and write a bucket list or goals. This year I have put together this list of travel goals to speak it into existence.
1) London/Copanhagen/Oslo/Amsterdam-I have seen quite a few deals on Norweigan and I am investigating hopping around Europe.
2)Italy (Rome, Milan and Florence)-Planning for May just before the summer where temperatures will be mid 70s. Hotels seem a bit pricey so I am still looking into hotel vs Air BnB options.
3)Taste of Chicago-Last year I had a hotel and tickets to the Erykah Badu concert. I could not find anyone to go. This year I'm just going to go solo. I heard summertime in Chicago is awesome. I've booked a hotel already.
4) Grand Canyon/Antelope Canyon-I have been wanting to go here for a while. Unfortunately a few friends and family don't have this same desire. The beginning of September may be a good time for a visit.
5)Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio)-Since Brazil is waiving it's $160 Visa fee for Americans for the summer. I would love to visit before the Olympics in June for my birthday.
6)Australia (Sydney, Melbourne)- I've always wanted to visit, it is said to be the longest flight from the states. Longer than my trek to Thailand last year. I hope to visit during our winter and combine with the next destination.
7)Auckland, New Zealand-The beauty of this location alone is breathtaking from pictures.
8) Toronto, ON-OVO Fest usually sells out in 5 minutes. If I can score tickets I would definately like to go to Drake's festival and see Toronto during the summer. I can't stand the cold so it will be great to kill two birds with one stone.
Other travel related goals include:
Learning how to pack better. I'm the person that packs for the what ifs and has rarely paid for a checked bag due to who I fly with.
Finding a healthy balance between enjoying the moment and capturing the moment.
Learning more loyalty program hacks and status matches. My first trial was with Hilton Honors I will have more on other programs in 2016.
